All Goods sold by the Company are sold subject to the Company’s standard terms and conditions (as detailed below) which form part of the Buyer’s contract with the Company. Terms and conditions on the Buyer’s order form or other similar document shall not be binding on the Company.
Quotations

Orders and Payment
All orders are paid on the following milestones:
- 50% deposit on confirmation of order
- Remaining 50% amount paid prior to dispatch
NOTE:
A nonrefundable cancellation fee of 5% of the total amount paid to the Company for each order placed will be debited in the event of cancellation by the Buyer for any reason and at any time during the sale. In the event of a cancellation by the Buyer the money will be returned to the Buyer (less the
5% cancellation fee) after the Company has on sold the items from the original order to another buyer.
The Company will not reserve or hold orders for Buyers without a deposit payment received.
By accepting a quote/sales order, you agree that you have READ and ACCEPT these terms and conditions.
The Buyer agrees that upon placing each order they are able to pay all of their debts as and when they fall due.
Freight/Transport Policies
Shipping will be paid for by the Buyer, which will be invoiced to them, unless other arrangements are made.
If Goods are lost, delayed or damaged during shipment, it is the Buyer's responsibility to notify the Company so that the matter can be investigated. If the Company Goods are damaged during shipping, it is essential that the Buyer notes this on any documentation provided at the time of delivery or pick up of the Goods before notifying the Company.
The Company does not offer freight insurance in the instance of the Buyer organising their own freighting or temporary warehousing.
In the unlikely event that the Company doesn’t receive stock in time from suppliers and/or transport companies, the provided shipping estimates may not be met. For such occurrences, the Company will welcome the kind understanding of the Buyer.
If ordering a flat packed item, it is the responsibility of the Buyer to make alternative delivery arrangements if correct truck unloading equipment is not available at the delivery address. It is also the Buyer’s responsibility that unloading equipment is satisfactory to use for the Goods listed below:
A flat packed Chicken Caravan 130 is packed on one pallet weighing 650 kg and measuring 2510 mm x 2110 mm x 800 mm.
A flat packed Chicken Caravan 450 is packed on one pallet weighing 1750 kg and measuring 2850 mm x 2300 mm x 1100 mm.
A flat packed Chicken Caravan 30 is packed into one crate weighing 185 kg and measures 1515 mm x 815 mm x 630 mm.
A flat packed Skid feeder is packed into one crate weighing 86 kg and measures 1750 mm x 660 mm x 380 mm
If the Goods cannot be delivered at the Buyer’s delivery address, it is the responsibility of the Buyer to arrange pickup and delivery from the Shipping point. Any fees incurred through the warehousing or delays in pickup will be at the Buyers expense.
All delivery times quoted or given are estimates only, these dates can and sometimes do change. The Company cannot take responsibility for any supplier and/or shipping/transport company delays.
To avoid disappointment, it is advised that the Buyer does not order any hens or livestock that are relying on Goods and equipment until the Goods are received and assembled in full. If the ordering of any such hens or livestock are required to be planned in advance it is recommended that the Buyer allows at least 6 weeks after the estimated delivery date for their order.
Flat Packed Chicken Caravans and the Roof Sheeting /Water System
- Roof Sheeting - Chicken Caravan 450 only
Because we flat pack the Chicken Caravan to fit into a box that is 2.85 meters long, if we included the roof sheeting we would have 21 separate roof sheets packed with every Chicken Caravan 450 unit. To make assembly easier, we avoid supplying the roof sheet where possible and recommend that you source roof sheet at your end.
If you organize the roof sheet yourself there will be a few benefits:
- You are able to buy longer sheets as you are not limited to the size of the shipping crate.
- These longer sheets will be a lot easier and faster to install.
- Longer sheets means not as many joins and overlaps.
- You will only need either 3 or 6 large sheets rather than 21 smaller ones.
- The roof won't require additional bracing.
In Australia the roof sheet we use is a product made by Lysaght called "Trimdek". For International customers an alternative brand will be available from your local hardware or metal sheeting supplier. However, for the Australian customers we recommend you also use “Trimdek”.
You will need 3 sheets that are 3525 mm long, and 3 sheets that are 4610 mm long. Alternatively you can also get 3 panels that are 8020 mm long so you won't have a join in the middle (this is how we assemble the Chicken Caravans in Australia).
- Water System
Just like the roof sheeting the transportation of the flat packed Chicken Caravans with a water system would be far too expensive and large to flat pack. This is due to the length of the pipes which carry the water. We therefore do not freight water systems with a flat packed order.
Skid Feeders
Skid Feeders are freighted in their flat pack form and will require assembly by the customer. Skid Feeders will only be assembled if the customer is picking the units up or arranging their own freighting from our location in Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia. Any assembled Skid Feeders must be paid in full prior to assembly beginning.
Missing Parts & Components
In the unlikely event that the Buyer receives any Goods where parts or components are missing, please contact the Company immediately, with the part name and number. The Company will post the missing part and/or component so that the Buyer can continue with assembly. For such occurrences, the Company will welcome the kind understanding of the Buyer.
Repair, Replacement, Refunds and Order Cancellations
The Company Goods are entitled to be refunded or returned based on complaint. If a product is unsatisfactory, a written explanation is needed before the product may be considered for a refund. The Company may request photo or video evidence of the said fault.
The Buyer must take into account the description of the Goods sold by the Company before requesting a refund. If the Company product/s match the description by the Company and the Buyer is unsatisfied, the Company is not responsible for refund.
The Company can provide phone/Skype support and/or replacement parts of an assembly. Refunds and returns are made as a last resort.
Products used in the manufacturing of Company Goods will be warranted against manufacturer’s defects for 12 months, and this covers repair or replacement of affected parts, whichever is the most practical. Each case will be looked at individually by the Company to determine which is the most practical action to take.
Moreover, the Buyer is not entitled to return any ‘faulty’ item if:
- the Buyer used the product in an ‘abnormal’ way, or
- the Buyer used the product for a very long time, or
- the Buyer incorrectly assembled the product.
The Company will take all reasonable steps to ensure the protection from loss, damage or destruction of the services or materials it supplies to the Buyer.
A non refundable cancellation fee of 5% of the total amount paid to the Company for each order
placed will be debited in the event of cancellation by the Buyer for any reason and at any time during
the sale. In the event of a cancellation by the Buyer the money will be returned to the Buyer (less the
5% cancellation fee) after the Company has on sold the items from the original order to another buyer.
30 Day Money Back Guarantee on Chicken Fences
The Company offers a 30 day money back guarantee on our chicken fences. If the Buyer would like a refund on their fence the buyer has to send it back to the chicken caravan head office at the buyers expense. The Chicken Fence must be in good condition, not broken or damaged. The buyer must notify The Company that they are sending a Chicken Fence within 30 days of the Buyer receiving the Chicken Fence. The Chicken Fence must arrive back at the chicken caravan head office within 30 days of the Buyer receiving the Chicken Fence or the buyer must provide a valid tracking number with a freight
company.
