Shipping Policy

By placing an Order with us, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Shipping Policy, which outlines how delivery of Goods is arranged. This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

In this Policy:

  1. Company means Chicken Caravan Pty Ltd (or its related entities or trading names). 

  2. Buyer means any person or entity purchasing Goods from the Company. 

  3. Goods means all products, components or items supplied by the Company. 

  4. Delivery means the point at which the Goods are delivered to the Buyer’s nominated address or collected by the Buyer or their nominated Carrier. 

  5. Carrier means any third-party freight, courier or logistics provider engaged to transport the Goods. 

  6. Order means any confirmed request by the Buyer to purchase Goods from the Company. 

2. Application of this Policy


  1. This Shipping Policy applies to all Orders placed with the Company.

  2. It should be read in conjunction with the Company’s Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy. To the extent of any inconsistency, mandatory rights under the Australian Consumer Law prevail.


3. Shipping Model


  1. The Company does not offer standard or flat-rate shipping. All deliveries are individually quoted based on the specific Order and delivery address

  2. Shipping arrangements will depend on factors including:

  1. the size, weight and dimensions of the Goods; 

  2. the delivery location and accessibility; 

  3. the nature of the Goods (including fragile or oversized items); and 

  4. Carrier availability and service levels. 

  1. The Company reserves the right to select the most appropriate Carrier for each Order, unless otherwise agreed in writing.


4. Shipping Quotes and Acceptance


  1. A shipping quote will be provided to the Buyer prior to dispatch.

  2. The Buyer must approve the quoted shipping cost before shipment is arranged.

  3. Any variations to shipping costs resulting from:

  1. changes requested by the Buyer; 

  2. inaccurate delivery information; or 

  3. site access issues,
    may result in additional charges, which must be paid prior to Delivery or as otherwise agreed. 

5. Dispatch Timeframes


  1. Dispatch timeframes provided by the Company are estimates only and may vary depending on production schedules, stock availability and operational factors.

  2. The Company will use reasonable efforts to dispatch Goods within the indicated timeframe but does not guarantee dispatch or delivery dates.

  3. The Buyer acknowledges that certain Goods may be made to order or require assembly, which may extend dispatch times.


6. Delivery and Access Requirements


  1. Delivery will be made to the address specified by the Buyer.

  2. The Buyer must ensure that:

  1. the delivery address is accurate and complete; 

  2. safe and reasonable access is available for the Carrier; and 

  3. any specific delivery requirements (e.g. forklifts, loading docks, site restrictions) are disclosed in advance. 

  1. If Delivery cannot be completed due to:

  1. incorrect address details; 

  2. inaccessible premises; or 

  3. failure by the Buyer to be available where required,
    additional delivery or redirection fees may apply. 

 

7. Risk and Responsibility

  1. Risk in the Goods passes to the Buyer upon Delivery.

       Where the Buyer elects to use their own Carrier or collect themselves, risk passes at         the time the Goods are collected from the Company’s premises.

    1. To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not responsible for loss, damage or delay caused by a Carrier once the Goods are in transit.

    2. Nothing in this clause excludes any rights the Buyer may have under the Australian Consumer Law.




8. Delays and External Factors


  1. Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may be affected by factors outside the Company’s control, including:

i. transport disruptions; 

ii. weather conditions; 

iii. port or freight congestion; 

iv. industrial action; or 

v. Carrier operational issues. 


  1. The Company is not liable for any loss arising from such delays, to the extent permitted by law.


  1. Loss or Damage in Transit


  1. The Buyer must inspect the Goods as soon as reasonably practicable after Delivery.

  2. Any visible damage, shortage or defect should be reported to the Company promptly, together with supporting evidence (such as photographs).

  3. Where Goods are lost or damaged in transit, the Company will take reasonable steps to assist the Buyer in lodging a claim with the Carrier, where applicable.

  4. Remedies for faulty or damaged Goods will be provided in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and the Company’s Refund Policy.


10. Authority to Leave


  1. If the Buyer authorises the Carrier to leave the Goods unattended at the delivery location, Delivery is deemed to have occurred at that time.

  2. The Buyer assumes all risk of loss or theft from the time the Goods are left in accordance with that authority.


11. Storage, Re-Delivery and Failed Deliveries


  1. If Delivery is delayed or cannot be completed due to the Buyer’s actions or omissions, the Company or Carrier may:

  1. store the Goods at the Buyer’s risk; and/or 

  2. charge reasonable storage, handling and re-delivery fees. 

  1. The Company will take reasonable steps to notify the Buyer of any such charges.


12. International Deliveries


  1. For international Orders, the Buyer is responsible for:

  1. all customs duties, taxes and import charges; and 

  2. compliance with all applicable laws in the destination country. 

  1. The Company is not responsible for delays caused by customs or regulatory processes.


13. Shipping Costs and Refunds


  1. Shipping charges are generally non-refundable once dispatch has occurred, except where required by law.

  2. Where a refund is provided for Goods in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, shipping costs will be handled in accordance with applicable legal requirements.


14. Policy Updates

The Company may amend this Shipping Policy from time to time. The current version will be made available on the Company’s website.
